| Programs As progressive Christians, we at First Congregational Church need to be part of a community that makes a difference in the world. But we recognize that our ability to create positive change in our own lives and in our communities takes practice and loving guidance. Our programs offer opportunities for members, guests and visitors of all ages to encounter a radical loving God while practicing compassion, justice and love. through small groups, retreats and workshops, as well as lectures by renown progressive Christians such as John Shelby Spong and Houston Smith and leaders from other faiths, we are challenged on our spiritual journeys. Programs are designed to match the developmental needs of each age group. They are led by committed teams of teachers. Children, youth, adults and elders can “grow in the Spirit”, planting deep roots in a faith that sustains a lifetime of creative and compassionate change-making. |
