First Congregational Celebrates Longtime Members (50+ Years)
On Sunday, May 17, 2009, the church celebrated members of the community who have belonged to the church for over 50 years. Some have been members for quite awhile more than that inlcuding Georgia Griffith who has been a member for 77 years. Although about two dozen were expected to attend the service, 38 showed up! Each was to receive a rose so we had to run out for more to celebrate this wonderful response from long-time members. We give thonks for the long and faithful commitment of these important friends!
